Mark Reed joined the team in 2015. A native of Australia, he ambled into Ireland as a back packer in 1996 to take up work as an instructor in Delphi adventure centre and he hasn’t left since!
He has made his home in Louisburgh and brought up two lovely girls there.
Of course, being a long-haired Aussie, everyone expects him to be a surfer and he is. But where did he learn to surf? In the west of Ireland, of course.. …
Mark did lot of travelling in his younger days but prefers to enjoy the natural beauty of County Mayo now and works at the moment on a project that surveys and protects the corncrake.
He loves the variety of training that he has had in mountain rescue especially the ‘rope stuff’ but still loves to follow the waves when the surf is up.
