Noel joined the team in 2021 but has been a friend to many team members for years and is certainly not new to the outdoors.

He grew up at the foot of Slieve Gullion in South Armagh and has worked as an outdoor instructor in Peterburg adventure centre, Co. Galway.

He hikes weekly with the Westport Hillwalking club and he has a hiked further afield on Mount Elbrur in Russia, Mount Kazbak in Georgia and Grosslockner in Austria to name drop but a few!

He is also devoted to his two young daughters and when he’s not taking care of them or hiking with the Westport Hillwalkers, he manages to fit in a bit of rock climbing, a skill he will no doubt have to put to use at some stage in the future on a technical call-out.

His renowned sense of humour will also be of great benefit to us all!
